If you are eligible please bring DAS the following:Ī copy of your valid Social Security card and I-94 visa Non-resident students will not matched with a notetaking assignment without first providing DAS a copy of their Social Security card and I-94 passport. Non-resident Notetakers must have a valid Social Security Number and I-94 passport before they will be given a notetaker contract. You will be informed via ONID Email if we have matched you with a notetaking assignment. Please Note! Filling out this information does not mean that you have been assigned as a notetaker. Please read your notetaker contract carefully, as it outlines important information and your payment information. You will need to have your complete schedule printed or open in another window with CRN numbers. The first step in becoming a notetaker is to register online through DAS Online Services. Step One: Register to Become a Notetaker Online Step two: Confirm your notetaking assignment Step one: Register to become a notetaker online Becoming a notetaker is a great way for students to improve their personal notetaking skills, help out a classmate, and earn a bit of money! You are responsible for completing your assignments in a timely manner without much supervision. ![]() As a notetaker you will not complete a regular timesheet or receive a regular paycheck. Notetakers are categorized as Independant Contractors. Notetakers are not required to tutor the student or assist the student with out-of-class projects, assignments or homework. Notetakers are not required to meet with the student to provide the notes nor are they expected to review the notes with the student. Notetakers are expected to respond to any questions about their notes in a timely manner. Notes should be uploaded as soon as possible but no later than 24 hours after the lecture. Notetakers are expected to upload notes to the DAS system in order to receive payment. You are expected to make arrangements for a substitute notetaker in case of absence from class. Notetakers are expected to take neat, detailed notes during the assigned lecture. Notes are essential tools for learning and revision, therefore the work of a Notetaker provides crucial support.
